Day by Day Itinerary
Day 01 Arrival in Beijing
No meals

Our guide will meet you outside the customs of Beijing Airport after you retrieve your luggage and clear the customs, and then transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.

Tips: Currency exchange is very convenient in China nowadays. You can change money at the Bank of China and the exchange rate is based on the published rates on their website. You can also change money at the reception counter of your hotel certain rates prescribed by the hotel, or the intra-day released rates. No handling charge is applied at either the banks or the hotels.

Day 02 Beijing

Visit the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City this morning. Then an a la carte lunch is served at a very nice restaurant to taste the authentic Chinese food. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Heaven. In the evening, you will enjoy a lively Chinese Kung Fu Show at Red Theatre.

Day 03 Beijing

Visit the Badaling Great Wall. To avoid having lunch at shopping site restaurants, you will be driven to have Sichuan food at a local popular restaurant. Visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. On the way back to downtown, drive by the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium). You will see its appearance at a distance.

Tips: In the evening, you can walk freely in the famous Wangfujing area which is very near to your hotel. Every food stall is packed with local people and visitors waiting to taste the delicious snacks. Westerners may not be used to these kinds of food, but indeed have an interest in what locals do and what is sold here. Do not miss the chance to take photos. Besides, the well-known Wangfujing pedestrian street is just nearby. During the evenings this street is always vibrant with local people as well as travelers from all over the world. Along the street, there are lines of various shops where you can find small items or bric-a-brac as keepsakes or for collecting. If you are tired, you can walk about five minutes back to your hotel on your own.

Day 04 Beijing - Shanghai

Visit the Summer Palace and have a Hutong tour. An a la carte lunch will be served to you at a decent restaurant. Take a flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel.

Day 05 Shanghai

Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden.At noon, an a la carte farewell lunch will be served at a fancy and famous local restaurant, which offers authentic Shanghai and Cantonese cuisine. After lunch, transfer you to the Bund area, where you will take a cruise tour on the Huangpu River. Leave you some free time to explore the Bund area on your own. Then visit an ancient cultural street.

Tips: Besides the scheduled sights in the itinerary, there are many other things to view in this large and rich metropolis city. For example, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower could be a good choice. With a height of 468 meters (1535 feet), it is the highest tower in Asia, and the third highest in the world. The large ball in the upper tower is the best place to overlook the city of Shanghai. The sight is not just a place for a bird's view of Shanghai, but also a comprehensive place for entertainment. The Fiction City at the bottom of the tower composes of the Disney Theatre, Happy Square, Laser Theatre, Magic Travel, Travel to South Polar and Train of Adventure, which will ensure you an exciting time there. It opens from 08:00- 21:30 everyday.

Day 06 Shanghai - Xian

The morning is free and lunch is on your side. Take an afternoon flight to Xian and transfer to the hotel.

Day 07 Xian

Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. Your a la carte lunch is served at the best local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Provincial History Museum. This evening you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Dinner Show in Tang Dynasty Palace.

Tips: As famous as Sanlitun Street in Beijing, Dove Lane (De-Fu-Xiang in Chinese) in Xian is worthy of recommendation. Along the street, there are over 20 cafes, teahouses, and bars, with name like Roman Holiday, Blue Heart, Captain, Old Tree and etc. The appearance of the buildings still keeps the style of the Tang Dynasty; however they are decorated in totally in western style inside. Dove Lane lies on the most flourishing South Street in the inner city. It has become the ideal recreational place for young people and a place for relaxation for the white collar workers. Foreigners living in Xian are also fond of spending their spare time here.

Day 08 Xian

After visiting the City Wall in the morning, you will have a local family visit and a la carte lunch will be arranged in the home of the family that you visit, to taste the authentic home cooked Chinese dishes. In the afternoon, continue to visit the Great Mosque.

Day 09 Xian - Guilin

Visit the Xian Museum and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Then take a flight to Guilin and transfer to the hotel.

Day 10 Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin

Enduring memories are created today as you cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Upon arrival in Yangshuo, a short bicycle trip to the countryside will then be arranged. You will visit a local villager's home to experience the farmer's lifestyle there. Alternatively, we will transfer you there instead of taking bicycles. Transfer back to Guilin. (Tips: Since the lunch on the Li River cruise can not meet your expectation, we suggest that you have enough breakfast at the hotel today.)

Tips: After dinner on your own, we suggest you take a walk along the Bin Jiang Road. En route, you could enjoy the beautiful night scenery in Guilin, especially the Double Pagodas (Gold Pagoda and Silver Pagoda) located in the Shanhu Lake. The Double Pagodas are also called Sun Pagoda and Moon Pagoda, because one is golden and tall while the other is silver white and low. They comprise another landmark of Guilin.

Day 11 Guilin - Hongkong

Visit the Reed Flute Cave, the Seven Star Park and the Elephant Trunk Hill. A western-style lunch will be served to you at a nice and decent local restaurant. Take a flight to Hongkong. Upon arrival, please go to the hotel we have booked for you by yourselves.

Day 12 Hongkong

The hotel accommodation with breakfast is provided today. You are suggested to have a half-day Hongkong Island Tour. Peak tram ride to mid-level of Central District then to the Victoria Peak, visit the Repulse Bay, Aberdeen and Stanley Market on your own.

Tips: Hong Kong offers easy access for self exploration where there is plenty of signage in English and well-constructed transportation net work. You will never have the feeling of loneliness or helplessness there. The shuttle buses run regularly between the airport and the hotel, you may also choose the Airport Express from the airport to Kowloon station, and then take the K4 bus to the hotel directly. The staff there can speak Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish. There are 9 excellent restaurants specializing in European cuisine, of which Belvedere offers European and North American cuisines as well as a spectacular harbor view of Victoria port.
